Parque Cultural de la Sierra de Gata.

Al noroeste de la provincia, limita con Portugal y Salamanca. Encontramos este territorio con una carga histórica, cultural y natural sin duda a tener en cuenta, reflejada en sus gentes, gastronomía y en las tradiciones que han sabido pervivir como lo ha hecho la Fala, una lengua propia.

Reserva de la Biosfera de Monfragüe. Es el lugar de referencia de la ornitología española en bosques mediterráneos, accesible desde sus miradores ubicados estratégicamente en farallones y atalayas para observar rapaces, rupícolas, acuáticas, todo un amplio abanico de avifauna que atrae miles de visitantes al año.  Pero Monfragüe es también Reserva de la Biosfera, galardón que otorga la UNESCO. Es posible transitar los antiguos caminos libres de la trashumancia, rutas a caballo por cañadas, cordeles y veredas o acercarse a los museos y centros de interpretación sobre los aromas, la Reserva de la Biosfera, la historia o el Parque Nacional.

El Parque Natural Internacional Tajo-Tejo es un espacio natural de gran valor que permite disfrutar de la naturaleza, la gastronomía y una gran riqueza de recursos materiales e inmateriales que conforman nuevas experiencias sobre el megalitismo, los antiguos pobladores, el último camino sefardí, las Órdenes militares, o las historias impresas en el Puente de Alcántara. El Río Tajo es naturalmente el eje vertebrador del Parque Internacional, y el barco “el Balcón de Tajo” ha ejercido una labor divulgadora sin precedentes, pero también ha ayudado a focalizar la atención en el curso de agua, en el río.

El Geoparque Mundial de la UNESCO Villuercas-Ibores-Jara es uno de los 120 territorios en el mundo declarados como geoparque. Su relieve «apalachense» es considerado como uno de los contextos geológicos españoles de importancia internacional. Es posible contemplar paisajes de riscos, bosques de castaños y alcornoques, aves, ríos revestidos de loros, alisos y fresnos cobijan a la formación cárstica de la cueva de Castañar de Ibor, a los granitos y las manifestaciones mineras, o a los desfiladeros cuarcíticos en Alía o en Cañamero y graníticos en Villar del Pedroso. Y a una riqueza paleontológica única en el mundo.
