Informe de Infancia y Adolescencia en Extremadura

El Instituto de Estadística de Extremadura publica la segunda edición de su Informe sobre Infancia y Adolescencia. Es un interesante informe en el que se pone de manifiesto un problema que afecta directamente a la despoblación, como es la presencia de menores de edad, y que se ceba con mayor virulencia en la provincia de Cáceres respecto a la provincia pacense. A escala nacional, solo estas regiones tienen una proporción de menores de edad aún más baja que en Extremadura. Son Aragón, País Vasco, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Galicia y Asturias.

En el mismo se indica que de las diez últimas comarcas con menos personas menores edad, ocho son cacereñas. En orden de peor a mejor ratio aparecen las siguientes: Villuercas-Ibores-Jara (no llega al once por ciento de menores), Trasierra-Tierras de Granadilla-Valle del Ambroz-Las Hurdes, Sierra de Montánchez, Sierra de San Pedro, Sierra de Gata, Siberia 1, Tajo-Salor, Trujillo, La Vera y La Serena. En ninguna de ellas hay más de catorce menores de edad por cada cien habitantes.
